Description

The 2017 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Summit is an opportunity to hear about upcoming District Department of Transportation (DDOT) projects and to network with DBE firms, prime contractors in heavy construction and civil engineering, and DDOT project managers.

There are also industry-related concurrent workshops on Construction, Architecture and Engineering, and Doing Business with DDOT.

The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Summit is free of charge. Lunch will be provided, and free parking is available. Further details will be sent to you automatically when you register.

The mission of the District of Columbia government's Department of Transportation (DDOT) is to enhance the quality of life for District residents and visitors by ensuring that people, goods, and information move efficiently and safely, with minimal adverse impact on residents and the environment.

The Office of Civil Rights administers compliance programs and policies related to Civil Rights for the District Department of Transportation. Among them is the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, required by Congress as a condition for DDOT to receive federal funds. The program provides assistance to minorities, women, and other socially and economically disadvantaged individuals with buinesses in the highway construction and design industries.
